Individual sessions and Mental Health Walks

Trauma-informed support for people who want to come back into contact with themselves.

I work with adults who recognise trauma-related patterns in their lives: stress, shutdown, CPTSD experiences, burnout, numbness, relational loops, isolation, rumination, or the sense of being far away from their own needs.

Your first individual coaching session is free of charge.

Sessions

Individual coaching with enough time, a clear frame, and a simple first step.

Individual coaching sessions combine direct conversation, body awareness, pacing, and practical reflection. We look at what happens now, how protective responses make sense, and what becomes possible when there is more choice.

Mental Health Walks

Weekly 2-hour guided nature walks in Tallinn for people who want to come out of isolation, calm rumination, and give the nervous system different inputs.

We walk in Tallinn nature areas with a simple frame, enough space, and no pressure to talk. Exchange is welcome, silence is welcome, and the walk can happen with one person or in a small group.

About the work

A careful place to understand what your system learned to carry.

Trauma often shows itself in ordinary life: in tension, avoidance, pleasing, collapse, anger, overthinking, mistrust, or the feeling that you cannot fully arrive in your own body. Some people come with a clear trauma history or identify with CPTSD. Others simply know that old patterns still shape present choices.

The aim is not to force a breakthrough. It is to build enough steadiness to meet yourself more honestly. In both individual sessions and group walks, the pace matters as much as the content.

How sessions feel

Grounded, respectful, and paced with care.

No pressure to perform

You do not need to tell everything, explain perfectly, or relive painful experiences. We work with what is present and stay attentive to your limits.

The body is included

Thoughts matter, and so do sensations, breath, posture, impulses, and numbness. The body often carries information before words are available.

Patterns are treated with respect

Survival strategies are not failures. They usually began as intelligent protection. Understanding them can open space for different responses.

Safety and choice

How I hold the frame.

Safety is not something I can simply promise from a website. What I can offer is a clear way of working: consent, privacy, careful pacing, and enough choice for you to stay in contact with yourself.

Consent stays active

You can say no, pause, change direction, or choose not to answer. We do not need to enter painful material before there is enough steadiness and agreement.

The frame is explicit

We speak about what we are doing, why it may help, and what the limits are. Private material stays private.

You keep agency

I do not expect immediate trust. If something feels too much, unclear, or not right, that becomes part of the work rather than a problem to push through.

Who this may be for

For adults navigating trauma-related stress and life patterns.

  • Feeling stuck, tense, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself.
  • Recognising CPTSD patterns, shutdown, hypervigilance, or emotional swings.
  • Repeating relational patterns that do not match what you want now.
  • Recovering from burnout, numbness, or a long period of functioning on autopilot.
  • Moving through a life transition and wanting a steadier sense of direction.

About Andreas

“My own history brought me to this work; my training gives it structure.”

Calm, direct support without spiritual language or quick fixes.

I am Andreas Näf, originally from Switzerland and now based in Tallinn. My path into this work did not begin only in study; it began with my own experiences of abuse, trauma, depression, ADHD, and the long process of learning to live with more awareness, self-compassion, and honesty.

Those experiences shaped how I listen. They taught me to pay attention to the adaptations people develop to survive, the stories beneath behaviour, and the intelligence that can exist even in struggle. Today, I am happily married and a father, and my own life has shown me that healing is rarely about becoming someone else; more often, it is about reclaiming parts of ourselves that had to be hidden, silenced, or protected.

I do not present myself as a licensed psychotherapist, doctor, or diagnostician. I offer coaching for people who want to understand themselves more deeply, reduce shame, and build a more authentic relationship with who they are.

My training background includes the Core Evolution Trauma Therapy Training, and I am currently a student in the Core Evolution Training, an integrative body-oriented and mindfulness-centered approach to working with trauma, embodiment, attachment, and personal transformation. Lived experience gives me empathy; training gives me structure. Neither makes me an authority over your experience.

Trust can be complicated around gender, power, neglect, betrayal, past harm, or simply not knowing a practitioner yet. I do not expect immediate trust; I work with clear agreements, consent, and a pace that leaves you choice, with transparency and agency kept central.

My role is not to tell you who you are or how you should heal. It is to offer a space where your experience can be explored with respect, patience, and care. Together, we look for what is true and workable for you, not for a performance of healing.

Influences

Work shaped by trauma-informed, body-oriented, and nervous-system-aware approaches.

  • Judith Herman's Trauma and Recovery and the wider tradition of understanding trauma in relationship and social context.
  • Peter Levine's Waking the Tiger and somatic approaches that include body, impulse, orientation, and regulation.
  • Bessel van der Kolk's The Body Keeps the Score and the understanding that trauma involves body, perception, and relationship.
  • Janina Fisher's work with trauma-related parts and fragmented survival responses.
  • Pete Walker's Complex PTSD, especially around shame, emotional flashbacks, and long-term adaptation.

Important boundary

Coaching is not crisis care or medical treatment.

This work is personal development support. It is not psychotherapy, medical care, diagnosis, emergency support, or a substitute for licensed mental health treatment. If you are in immediate danger or crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis service.
